Many years ago, a friend of mine was riding borrowed motorcycle from another friend when a trash truck going about 40mph or so ate a stop sign and hit him. Literally dragging him with the rear passenger side tires his by the helmet/his head!! So the only thing u would see was his body sticking out the side of the rear of the truck.. luckily he survived and the truck stopped just in time to not run over his head... The helmet obviously had a VERYYYY deep mark!! Till this day the helmet is still hanging on the wall of his garage.. as for the motorcycle, it wasn't damaged too much but I don't remember exactly what happened to the bike after.. point is helmets are very important!!!

Now imagine without. How much hair would have been shaved (more like ripped) right off. This is why a helmet is essential and why I hate seeing people going 20+ XR rides without one!

I learned this the hard way. Low battery + acceleration = bonked head + grade 3 shoulder ligament tear.
