The funny thing is that the original manga of Devilman was still quite brutal in its own right. Their had yo further tone it down for its first anime adaptation.

My friend was telling me about this and I had no clue this existed but this is also the effect of âNagai is one of the most influential authors ever but only three of his works are recognizedâ cause man you could name more works that Osamu Tezuka-who I put on the same level as Nagai in terms of influence-be known then people going âuhhh Nagai made Devilman and that mazinger and cutie honey showâ but itâs also funny how Nagai got away with basically making the same story twice even if devilman diverts more from demon lord Dante. Nice it eventually got a anime later though as seen in the video but itâs definitely one of those forgotten 70s adaptions- like every 70s manga to get a adaption in the 2000s lol.
