I layed next to my husband in his hospital bed after strokes paralyzed his left side and watched it, we were totally silent, tears from us at the end. Nurses would pop in and watch for a bitthrough out it all. Its such a core memory for me now that my husband has passed

Across the border in Buffalo, NY … Gord and The Hip were hometown favorites… they embraced our city , our Western New York area as their own. We loved them and they loved us !! 💕… I was at a Riviera theater 🎭 packed with a sold out 1200+ fans for the final concert and it’s still emotion for me today to remember all the beautiful music 🎶 and memories he gave us. RIP my friend and thanks 🙏

Guys-thank you for being a major portion of the soundtrack of my youth. I remember exactly where I was when I heard about Gord’s cancer diagnosis and his passing. Your music is indelibly printed on my heart and soul.

I've never seen a band bring people together with such happiness. Back in 2000 I met a girl online who introduced me to them by sending a CD all the way from Canada to the UK. What made it really special was she handcrafted a custom cover with pressed flowers and drawings. It was a beautiful trans-atlantic moment.

This 75 year old saw them live many times - once at the Metropolis in Montréal which has a capacity of only about 2,000. Just loved their music.

It was definitely more than 11 million. Everybody in buffalo was watching. We had a block party with our friends and family for it

I was at night one of the live shows then watched Kingston on tv. I cried along with everyone else there. Gord stood on the stage with tears running down his face saying thank you thank you thank you over and over and over again.
It was so emotional.
RIP Gord. Canada misses you.
