Assassin's Creed stands as an expansive gaming franchise in the realms of open-world, action-adventure, and stealth genres. Ubisoft, the publisher, primarily entrusts the development to its studio, Ubisoft Montreal, utilizing the Anvil game engine and its more advanced iterations. Conceived by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the video game series explores a fictional, age-old conflict between the Order of Assassins advocating for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar seeking peace through order and control. The narrative weaves together historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters, intricately entwined with genuine historical events and figures. Throughout most games, players navigate the storyline by assuming the role of a historical Assassin, concurrently experiencing the perspective of an Assassin Initiate or a character entangled in the present-day Assassin–Templar conflict. Recognized as a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed drew inspiration from Vladimir Bartol's novel "Alamut," which, in turn, is rooted in the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

I hate that they finished Juno’s story off in a comic. It feels so odd to just simply end it in the least interesting way possible.

Why should I care about any of your story lines if I don't know if you're gonna have the ending left out of the game.

I was one of the few people that enjoyed the modern-day plot in the games. It really disappointed me when it just became apparent they had no idea where to take the plot after 4 (arguably 3).

But how else are Ubisoft supposed to make extra money while dellveloping other games and skins..... they need to sell ass comics that tie off games endings so fans have to buy them to understand whats happening.

Actually, there was meant to be Juno missions in Origins, which that tells me that the Juno storyline was meant to continue in the Layla saga, but since they decided to have Origins be a soft reboot of the series. I guess that's why they decided to just end the Juno storyline with the comic. I know, it's pretty dumb, but something tells me with the ending to the Layla storyline, they might also bring in the return of Juno with the alternate timeline Valhalla seems to be setting up.

It's not the fact that I don't read comic books it's the fact that I'm just not good at reading in general and I generally like to play games instead of read books and you know I'm the same with you I just don't read comic books in general I mean I have a look at a few comic books when I was younger but I've never really been a comic book guy and I also find it funny when people say you can't learn stuff from games I've learned a lot of history from Assassin's Creed also you said at the end that they should bring back the mystery of the isu they kind of ruined that with how much we know unless it like the universe so unknown

Imo modern day fell off after AC3. After that, what you’re doing in modern day doesn’t really matter much in the animus story. I don’t think Ubisoft realized when they retconned the whole requirement of animus using to explore only the users’ ancestors, they eliminated a major connection between the modern day and animus plot. They didn’t necessarily have to have Desmond, but they should’ve kept that requirement to feel more connected. Now I just feel the modern day is there to remind us we’re in the animus

The thing with these games is they could have just done each game is about the assassins creed, from it's beginnings and how it effected the world, through fighting templars and it would have been great

Instead they tried to cram in this weird over world that was boring as fuck (play as a cool assassin or the most basic white guy who can't do anything but listen to whiny people) and then mixed it with HEAVY handed religious wizardry

it was like the ceo of the publishers son was really into religion and cyberpunk, then somehow convinced his dad to make them put that into the franchise
