why not just run wireguard under pfsense and use pfblocker DNS for blocking ads?
If you did that you wouldn't need proxmox at all.

Nice vid! I'm a Mikrotik fan.. Sure it's not as fully fledged in the firewall space as PFSense, but it has WireGuard, ZeroTier, containers (pi hole/Uuptime Kuma/biquiti controller).

why are you using pihole and not pfBlocker?

Let me get this straight? You used ProxMox and virtualized PFSense, WireGuard, and PiHole, running 3 full OSes to do it? I'm really confused why that is better than just running PFSense with WireGuard and PiHole baked in. Hell WireGuard is there right out of the box in the current version of PFSense . So you have wasted resources with 4 OSes running (1 host and 3 guest) and much added complexity in setup.
