Careful though! If the yarn doesny need winded leave it be!!!! Just like froging, the more you wind the yar the less eleastic and entwined it is! So for blanket yzrns especially make sure not to wind it unless its becoming dificult to store or use!

Here's a truck I use after winding. Wrap the labels around the cake vertically. It stops the sides unravelling.
Also, for winding a larger ball into a cake, cut a slightly larger circle/doughnut from card/circular yoghurt lid, place it over the column, then wind away. Just make sure the "doughnut" is angled down to prevent wool getting caught on it. XhugsX
