Please attach to the wall!! It is an injury risk. Should someone try to reach too high or a child climbs onto it, the bins could easily topple over on them. Ps. Plastics spray paint is pretty good. I’d lightly sand in ultra fine grit. Then wipe off with alcohol before spraying. Good paint is in the prep

You can also make a nice wooden frame (painted pink of course) to which this could slide into. Just secure the frame to the wall.

Make sure the paint is Krylon: the rest don't bind to plastic! And I agree, they should be attached to the wall studs if possible, for safety.
