This is so helpful you have no idea! I have been trying to find a video that includes the controller and hand motions but with no luck until now. Thank you! I use tap jump and just flick the stick up, or up and to the notch side opposite the way im facing to do it and its incredibly easy and 100% reliable. That way my right thumb never has to leave the B button.

okay what the fuck, i was trying to learn to short hop double laser but was having so much trouble with it, maybe 1 every 5 tries. i watch this video, see your method, try it, and instantly get it like 10 times in a row. thanks dude.
i was trying to position my thumb between Y and B and just rock my thumb back and forth but sliding it is way more consistent for some reason.

I use tap jump for short double laser. My friend told me he does that and I find it weird using that method till I tried it myself and it works me perfectly. I believe it's all preference and what will benefit your Fox play.

this method is so painful but its a lot more consistent then manually moving my thumb up and off y onto b. this cant be good for my hands.

JUST USE TAP JUMP FOR THE SHORT HOP. THIS WILL OBLITERATE YOUR HANDS AND IS VERY HARD TO RELIABLY REPLICATE AN HOUR OR TWO INTO A SESSION. FLICK LEFT STICK UP, DOUBLE TAP B. TO DRIFT, FLICK STICK UP, START PRESSING B AND DRIFT FORWARD/BACKWARDS. OFF THE RUN I JUST USE SHFF LASER

I realized what i was doing wrong, i was waiting half a second on Y before i slid my finger to b. You just have to do the nasty and slide instantly
