I thought if your going to release them back you shouldnt put them on the ice? Direct contact with the ice can cause localized freezing causing potential harm or even death. Im in no way bashing, im genuinely asking because im going to start ice fishing this year. Ive heard if youre keeping the fish it doesnt matter but if youre going to put it back to not let it touch the ice.
