Here are my favorite assassins creed characters ranked and why i like them. (Not including haytham) (and im not yet familiar with every assassin yet)
1. Ezio. Of course, its a generic opinion, but hes the only character who has a trilogy and some of the greatest writing for him. Hes lovable, charming, and respectful and he even can be rather heroic. Its no wonder why people love him.
2. Altaïr. Of course, hes somewhat flat as a character, but he is still very impressive and his feats go mentioned through the very extensive lore as he made very significant changes and altered the brotherhoods and lead them to evolve over time. Hes regarded as the greatest assassin and that has major merit for a man alive during the 3rd crusade.
3. Edward. I like how hes technically not an assassin. He becomes as assassin but hes mainly a pirate. I love how he isnt too serious, and the sea shanties are pretty entertaining. Plus, hes voiced by matt ryan and he plays the best live action john constantine.
4. Arno. Hes basically french ezio, but his robe and hood as an assassin has such a pretty shade of blue, and I quite like his voice. He gives a sense of relaxation and has a natural carefree nature. Unlike ezio, he isnt too brash, but like ezio, he has been shown to be more than helpful. And he'll do things to make sure events go well.
5. Shay. I know, hes a templar, but honestly, the fact he grew disillusioned with the assassins and disproved of the methods they used, especially when he triggered events to lead to a massive disaster in Lisbon, that scale of events would lead a lot of people to wonder if they're doing the right thing. Plus, i like how he always says "I make my own luck.".
6. Connor. Hes satisfyingly brutal and is quite a heavy hitter. And hes laser focused. Of course, he often can be too serious, but considering what hes went through, its very understandable. I actually relate to that as well as i often treated things seriously but basically had a bit of stick up my butt. And his action skills are impressive.
7. Desmond. Hes an assassin in the modern era but he technically never would have done that since he was a bartender. And i do partly think he shouldn't have sacrificed himself. But for what the story was, it was a pretty big deal.
And on a side note, elise in assassin's creed: unity, shes really attractive and very beautiful. I see why arno likes her.
