Did you know that SCUBA DIVING...really got started in the 1500s when the first diving bell was invented? This provided a pocket of air to breathe while underwater. However, in the 1940s, Jacque Cousteau and Emile Gagnan created the modern "demand regulator" and called it the "Aqua Lung." This design revolutionized scuba diving, and eventually led to the formation of the Aqualung brand we all known and love today. You may have thought that scuba diving was a recent invention, but it's been around for over 500 years!
