My first breed in X and Y went rather quick thanks to the new mechanic with destiny knot. Normally when you breed, 3 of the IVs the baby has comes from the parents, the rest are random, in X and Y if either parent holds the destiny Knot, the baby will get 5 IVs from the parents.

Breeding is much less painful now, kinda makes the wait for a gts pokegen easier to handle

started with random abra and a hand full of friend safari dittos and did a lot of swapping.

when i got done i had about 1 box of abras, but when i did gastly i had about 3 boxes so still luck base, but not as bad as before.

Once you get iv's and nature down it's really easy the only random thing is which iv you don't get 31 in

This can stack with using the power items to pass IVs down correct? Have one parent have the power item to gurantee the IV pass down for one stat and have the other hold destiny knot, which has 3 31 IVs already.
(I'm trying to create ideal parents)

use Friend safari to get a bunch of dittos. Pokemon from there always have at least 2 stats at 31.
