Same thing happened to me swimming at my grandparents cottage back in the 90s. My 12 year old friends and I were swimming near a floating dock and my friends were pulling up $20s and $50s on the lake bottom in 4 feet of water. Maybe $300 total. I didn't get anything and was a little disappointed but my friends freaked out for the 1 hour money hunt. Good times! Probably a guy on a sea doo or something similar. I'm sure the money would have been gone a few days later if nobody found it

Never happened to me on the water, but one time I went for a jog in the early morning and I cut through this bar parking lot and there was money blowing all over the ground. Picked up over 120$ in all small denominations 20 and below.

Back in 1980 when I was making $150 a week, I went fishing at creek where the northern pike spawn in the early spring. I was walking to another clearing along the creek to be able to cast and found a $10 bill blown into the bushes. Then I found a $20, then another $10. So then I started hunting through the leaves and came away with $85 at a time when I REALLY needed it. Good work !
