There's specific limitations to this. Capitalists absolutely tank profits in order to maintain control. Profits are secondary to power over workers, as that is what makes them capitalists. Having healthy functional workers makes your business better actually, but then they might leverage thier ablity to like... demand rights and meaningful existence beyond slaving for someone else's yacht collection

Ma and Pa don't want none of them common folk to have their needs met unless their profit margins are higher for it. And they would be if the culture of business weren't all about the money but about providing the goods and services and promoting the welfare of all like smaller businesses and decentralized organizational models.

I’m really starting to doubt living in this country. It seems that no one wants to actually change things. No one really wants to care. Everyone just wants to watch their stupid sports and drink away their lives as well as invest in their stocks. This country doesn’t care about each other. I’m tired.
And those that do want change were so few at this point

Very good question. I think it's the fact the system doesn't want u to be thinking critically. Just accept whatever they teach u in school. That's right, they only teach you how to be the best servant of the state. Study, work, have kids, pay shit load of money on taxes and then die. That's essentially all that state wants. It's baffling how nobody even questions this. It's baffling how the state intervenes in our education. It's baffling that we're being brainwashed to accept a very unfulfilling way for the most. Ever thought about why do we care about showbusiness? i don't, but social media has become a showbusiness essentially. At least i don't see many differences between classical portraits of poshy actors and self proclaimed content creators on social media. Either way you're looking at something the system wants you to follow. The system gives you false role models for the younger generation to strive to become. And that's wrong. You're only buying into a life that the system wants you to keel on feeding. A life without growth, a life where the success of ones is measured only in economical terms and how much money you make. And my critique is that, you're only striving to become a content creator or become an average employee feeding on the lies of this higher cast called influencers. Because they sell you a lie. A lie that you can get rich and buy everything you ever wanted. All you have to do is be pretty and sell people things they don't need, but create a reality where it's presented as needed. All n all it all seems so artificially made. There's no alternative to anything, the state has reached a level of interventionalism never heard before, but they did it so well nobody even questions it

I feel so jaded, having worked for these companies. The only thing that matters is shareholder value and becoming a larger shareholder.
