My first big bass snapped me off when i was (without permission) borrowing my dads favorite topwater rapala lure, which he only had one of, and was no longer in production . He came out of the air and thrashed, and i watched him in the air the second my line snapped. Kept fishing for another hour, and eventually started packing up. Called last cast and then got blown up on the landing with a big spinner bait. Pull in the 3 pounder, and he has my dads rapala sticking out of his mouth, with both treble hooks in the bottom jaw. Told my dad about almost luring his lucky lure and he let me keep it, atill have it to this day

Similar story here, me and i friends went to the creek to go salmon fishing (we didnt catch any 😭) but i lost 2 baits that day. Two weeks later, we went back to the same spot and went in the prime of salmon season (we still didnt catch any 💀) but my friend accidently reeled in something and he was astonished to find a jighead and a soft plastic and he showed it to me. I lost one of my best fishing lures in a tree. Some guy got it out with a boat the next day. I lost it on a lily pad and I ended up catching it two hours later and then I caught a 9 pound bass on the same lure

Gosh I wish I knew where this spot was. My boyfriend and I have been trying to hook into a musky all season. Caught loads of massive pike around that size one huge around 40 some inches. Can't wait for ice fishing.
