In this video I am looking at why is my timing off? Could it be a gear thing? I tried changing gears around in case it was improper installation of gears after flipping them around I figured out there is only one way they can go on and the marks are off. Perhaps there is an "Intake" specific gear?

i know i'm years late. but you have the intake and exhaust cams on backwards. The gears are mounted on fine i think. But i think your exhaust cam is installed on the intake side right now and visa versa for the other side. at tdc on the compression stroke the lobes for the intake and exhaust should be pointing 90 degrees towards the outside. more or less anyways.
