I think the problem comes from the impulse to world build, and I don't mean just from a creator standpoint. As consuumers we love to nerd out over the nitty gritty of like sci fi and fantasy worlds adding rules and logic to how things work in them, which can be detrimental to when you just want a great story to be told. Like Star Wars with the intro of like midicholorians or lightsaber combat styles. They can be fun to get into discussions about, but they have nothing to do with the core story of good and evil.

While I agree 99% with what you're saying, the argument can be made that because of Fifty Shades of Webb's ability to see the future, that the path of who actually can be Spiderman is written for THAT UNIVERSE. I haven't seen the film, but depending on the timing, Miguel O'Hara could still be keeping the Spiderverse in line with the "canon" before Miles' message hits. My guess is that this must be in the Amazing universe, then if the stuff about Peter's Dad using his blood yadda yadda right?

how come people are still missing the freaking point.
Yes Peter Parker is Spider-man. But what make Peter Spider-Man ? it is the super spider power ? it is the red and blue suit ?
Fuck no, the moment Peter got his spider power, he use it to earn some quick buck. He only become Spider-Man after his action lead to the death of Uncle Ben, and after he learn the lesson about responsibility.
It's the fucking responsibility, it's the power to offer a hand to the people that need it, it's the power to not look the otherway, that made Peter Spider-man.
And anyone who learnt that lesson IS Spider-man

But that only counts for the powers. The core of being spider-man aren't the powers. The core is doing what's right. The spider powers didn't transform Peter into spider-man they only made him egoistical and he lost his uncle because of that. He became spider-man for doing the right thing. The same goes for Miles. He got the powers but that didn't make him spider-man, it was his leap of faith what made him spider-man.

How can the animated team understand Spiderman so well and the live action team not understand at all?
