Also remember that you should always contact the customer support of wherever you bought the PC BEFORE you try to troubleshoot. Otherwise it could compromise your warranty. 😬

RIP to all of the people that didn't do their research, bought a PC, saw that the PC doesn't POST, asked for a refund and then saw this video.

I know that person exists

Happened to me. Got a new prebuilt. Mobo plug came loose which they luckily had mentioned in the booklet they sent about possible things that happened!

Two quibbles that may trip up the uninitiated. Some RAM slots only have a moveable clip on on side and you need to unscrew the graphics card from the rear panel to remove it

I bought my first PC last summer in Denmark around 1 our away from my home, then I drove it all the way back with no damages, and then had to move all the way to Thailand with it in my carry-on baggage, and then somehow it functioned (and still does function) perfectly, actual miracle

Someone’s going to rip the bracket off of their GPU😂 you need to unscrew it before you take it ou

As someone who moves a lot of PCs/servers and hardware I confirm these fixes.

The more basic it sounds the better the chance it'll fix the issue, at least with hardware.

it happened to me with the gpu, not having a new pc for more than 14 years, I didn't know that now the motherboard would do a check and tell you the problem, anyway I contacted the computer shop that sold it to me and shipped it, and we solved it in a short time (I had a shock when I connected it, it turned on but did not give video signals.). Then I didn't really understand the policy of the warranty seal on the desktop pc door, which quite a few people open immediately and add or change the hdd/ssd of the old pc.

IMPORTANT: check to see if any screws are loose or missing. Sometimes you gotta rotate or move the case around to find the screws in the case.

You should show this on the page that people buy your pc’s from so they know how to fix the issue if it does happen!

My boss worked for Dell when it was called PCs Limited. Chips comming out during delivery was one of their first challenges as they were growing.
Good to know it is still the same, almost 40 years later.

Please dont buy prebuilds when long distance or international shipping is involved. Just order loose parts, its rather easy to build and if you really really dont want too there is a local builder happy to help you out as long as you ask for that help👍

i build my own! Even if I were to buy a prebuilt id take it apart and put back together so I know it is all good, especially the thermal paste on CPU!

When I bought my prebuild, they just told me that I'd have to install the graphics card myself as they've made the experience that it regularly gets damaged or bent. Everything worked perfectly after arrival

Zac please answer two questions for newbies, I just got my first pc gamer, an i5 12400f with a rtx4060, considering to switch to amd after watching all your vids 😂
Anyway, please tell, now that win10 is almost less than a year without support, shall we buy the win10 or win 11 license? For average users (students and casual gamers, not streamers or hardcore gamers) home edition is enough or pro license will be ok

Kind of major oversight, Unscrew the GPU from the PCIe slots on the case before removal, the card aint coming out unless those screws are removed

Just a note, some motherboards these days only have ram security tabs that move on one side, came across one these for first time recently and almost broke the dimm slot because one side they were all fixed

My first gaming PC was a custom iBuyPower. The power cable for the cooler pump was loose. I didn't pay for professional cable management and it was a nightmare so that could be part of the reason lol.
