My 2nd great aunt married into these Bonapartes from across the Delaware River in Orange County New York. Alice Brazington Bonaparte was her name and I have a pair of dressers of her that she had at a room she had at my grandmother's home when Aunt Alice visited. Alice was one quarter Native American Shawanguk Lenape (Delaware).

Having grown up in the area, you could always tell it was Halloween when the Philadelphia newspapers would run a Sunday feature on the Jersey Devil.

Being from my beloved New Jersey (yes really) I grew up knowing about Napoleon in NJ. Bit disrespectful turning being king of anywhere no? At least to that place. Woukd the History Guy do something on Jersey's Devil perhaps?

Joseph stayed at what is now the Admiral Fell Inn in Baltimore, there is a plaque commemorating his visit and noting the room in which he stayed.

Interesting short about Napoleon's older brother. But now I understand the hockey team's nickname. 😮

Fun fact: he had a whole lot of tunnels underneath his home in the US for unknown reasons. The geolocation of his home is an important plot point of an Assassins Creed 2:Brotherhood DLC and the place where the vault is in Assassins Creed III
