I did not grow up playing Final Fantasy – I never owned a Playstation – but I was aware of it, of course. And even now I get the impression that if my parents had bought me a PlayStation, rather than a Nintendo, I would have been obsessed. It’s always felt to me like one of the games I missed out on as a kid. I’ve tried playing as an adult and I couldn’t be bothered… I think the moment has passed. But I still enjoy the music!

It’s been 10 years! For the 80th and final ep of A-Bit of 8-Bit I will be reremixing some of my favourite tunes from the last decade. Mario with Queen? Undertale with Harry Potter? The Beatles with Steven Universe? It’s going to be LARGE. In the lead-up, I’m making these 30-second Chip Clip shorts to highlight and reflect on my favourite 8-bit moments.
