As part of this front porch glow-up, I decided to give my old, worn concrete a quick and inexpensive refresh! I picked up some etching solution and patio/porch paint and in two hours time, I had a “brand new” front porch!
It has been about 9 months since this project, and it has held up great throughout the seasons. A quick spray down with the hose or power washer and it is back looking like new!

Just curious if it started to peel after some time, and if not - what you used to seal it? I’ve done it before and it slowly started to peel/flake off. Was so disappointing bc it looked great at first lol.

How'd you fix the cracks at the front of the step? you kind of left that out of the finish.

Looks nice🙂. Just remove the welcome mat. Some guy who broke into a house and sued the homeowner when he got hurt while trying to rob them won the suit based on he said on porch was a welcome sign. Sadly the judge or jury said something similar to if you welcome one you welcome all and are giving permission to enter. It's sad we can't put out a friendly vibe without being taken advantage of. I will never see a welcome sign the same again
