Buns

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (120g) Water
1/2 cup (120g) Milk
3 cups (450g) All-Purpose Flour
1 Egg + 1 Yolk (mixed) (66g total)
3.5 tablespoons (50g) Vegetable Oil
1.5 tablespoons (14g) Fine Sea Salt
2 tablespoons (28g) Granulated Sugar
2 teaspoons (11g) Instant Yeast
Spray Oil
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine water and milk.
Add sugar and salt to the flour in a separate mixing bowl.
Mix eggs and oil into the flour mixture by hand, kneading for 5 minutes until the dough is well combined and smooth.
Place the dough in a clean, lightly greased bowl. Lightly spray the top with cooking oil, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it proof for one hour in a warm place.
After proofing, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal-sized balls.
Let the 8 dough balls proof for an additional 20 minutes.
Cook the buns in a large non-stick sauté pan with a heavy bottom over very low heat, with the lid on, until they start to cook through and the bottoms turn medium brown.
Carefully invert the buns onto a greased plate, then slide them back into the pan.
Cover and continue cooking until the buns are golden brown.
Brush the buns with garlic butter before serving.
