I love the look and color of Crotons. But they immediately shrivel when I approach them !

They r very tropical. They love moisture n bright light. N can be a diva if not getting enough of either one.

Janae... this is my answer: when the Crotons see me coming... their pots start scooting and shuffling... they arent even trying to be picked by me...

Mine is thriving outside and I don’t plan to bring her in.

Yes they ore gorgeous outside. Wouldn't dare to bring them inside since Richie stated they are prone to spider mites. Don't need a spider mite magnet around the other plants. ❤

I have a croton petra tree. I take her out for summer bring her in for winter. I bag up her leaves during transition. I also spray the bags to kill any pests. After week 2 I open the bags but leave them on. I do that for 2 weeks...I check and clean the bags if I don't see anything I remove them and keep her in the sunniest spot I can muster. Shell drop older leaves but over all she does fine since shes a tree. The smaller ones don't like being messed with too much I leave them inside in the sunniest spot.

Only and I mean ONLY outside. They love Texas humidity in the summer. They last til late November before frosty mornings. I cannot grow them inside. Not in semi hydro or the tent. They just croak after a few weeks.

Uh oh!! I just bought one from Lowe’s for $7.99 and I split it and repotted both pieces. Wish me luck ☺️

Mine died when I took her out of the full sun south window and put her with other plants in the east too far from the window on a weekly watering schedule 🥀

I have two large plants and they’re doing great outdoor. I think they’re made for the outdoors 😆
