My great grandfather was a preacher who passed away in 92. He was a smoker his whole life and also a used car salesman. He had my great grandmother sneak in a cigarette while he was dying in the hospital. He went in the bathroom and smoked it, came out and a while later he passed. We are not perfect but we love our Jesus.

First pastor is Biblically correct. A pastor is supposed to be above reproach. If we actually ran churches like God commanded in His word 95% of pastors wouldnt be pastors. Cant be single. Kids must be well behaved. Loyal and loving to his wife. Generous. Kind. Theres a lot that would disqualify at the least 75% of us. You cant shepherd a flock if youre also lost or stumbling.
