I prefer the NFL because the skill level is higher, the parity between the teams is closer, and while the owners still have the upper hand on players, players have gotten a decent chunk of the economic pie. There’s nothing more depressing than seeing an NCAA media relations exec making $1 million a year jetting around and prattling about amateurism. I know the courts have forced the slave drivers at college athletic programs to share some of the proceeds, but they had to be forced to.

College football has maintained a culture that the NFL simply no longer has despite outside forces and incompetence within trying to ruin it
What Colin calls "crazy" and "fun" is a higher level of fan engagement. The NFL is stretching itself thin for ratings, which works as a business model but it's a diminished product from what it once was and doesn't have nearly as high a level of engagement regionally except in the northeast.
In college football, the top 30 or so programs pack their stadiums and create a noise level that actually impacts the game. The only thing keeping it from being flat out better than the NFL is the scheduling issues. These lower end teams need to earn a right to play in these big games instead of having bama schedule 4 cupcakes every year

Some of these early weeks of college has no match ups. But November and now December with the playoff are going to be incredible.
