Through a ruthless process which included planned starvations, forced evictions, setting fire to the homes of Irish people, increasing rents to unsuistainable levels, and intentionally imposing laws upon the Irish that would hasten their departure.
The Irish were doing fine and owned quite a lot of property before the Protestants arrived. However, that all changed when the land-hungry Protestants arrived with the notion that it was their god-given right to take Irish people's land from them so that they could have it for themselves.
The Protestants were (and are) a disaster for the Irish. Their heartlessness inhumanity was (and is) incalculable.
