Hear me out. If traditionally highlanders used single edged axes, and Godfrey is implied to have highlander origins, maybe when Marika banished him to the Badlands, Godfrey broke off the second head of his axe, as well as returning to his old name Hoarah Loux, symbolizing his return to his roots
