吳冠中（1919 - 2010）早年研習水墨國畫，後來進入彩色油畫世界，終其一生探索中西融和的藝術，讓黑白水墨蘊藏感情和溫度。
吳冠中藝術贊助專題展覽系列：「吳冠中──黑．白．灰」，以這位大師的語錄出發，展出超過30件館藏精選吳冠中水墨和油畫作品，帶領參觀者欣賞大師獨特的色彩美學，領略黑白之間引發的無限激情與想象。
另外，跨界系列：「吳冠中 x 張瀚謙」，委約香港藝術家張瀚謙，以吳冠中藝術精神為本，配合創新科技實驗水墨創作的可能性。當中《瀑林》與吳冠中的捐贈作《瀑布》呼應，呈現科技裡的詩情畫意，引領參觀者以當代思維領略大師的創新意念。
