The funny thing is a Panther is just an all black Jaguar. If you look closely at the coat, you see its spots. lol.

the fact that the sponsorship wasn't a day 1 thing was a missed opportunity tbh

The so called "Teal" color was selected by the Jaguar Franchise because it is similar to the Traditional Dolphins' Aqua Color. The Jaguars Franchise made this gesture of appreciation for the Dolphins because the People of Jacksonville became emotionally attached to the Dolphins in the Glory Years of the Early 1970s. Jacksonville's intense support for the Dolphins is one reason the NFL selected Jacksonville for expansion. The intensiy with which the People of Jacksonville supported the Dolphins made the NFL realize that Jacksonville would intensely support its own NFL Expansion Team in Jacksonville.

Good thing for Carolina that Ford no longer held the rights to the Ford Pantera or they might have tried to sue them too.

One of the oldest Ford factories is just down the road from the jags stadium. Its getting torn down as we speak.

The first revised logo was more football shaped, the one shown is about a decade old from when the most recent owner took over.

Thereā€™s no way I would have named them official car of the franchise if I still had to change the logo

The revised logo you showed is not the correct logo. Thatā€™s the modern day logo that was introduced in 2013 following Shad Khanā€™s purchase of the team.

Carolina got there team first that year, Jacksonville had to wait a little longer to find out they had been awared a franchise.

Well both teams has proven themselves to be an eternal wheel of futility since then lmao

So THAT'S why Washington didn't change their name to "The Lincolns".

The panthers history since coming into the league at the same time is much better. 2 NFC championships

I hate that most fields don't have historic names like Lambeau Field. Seattle keeps naming their field after this or that company

I always wondered why our logo changed when I was a kid

Why would the car company be unhappy , that's sales and free promotion !!!

The 2nd gen Jaguar logo is a hundred times better than the cartoonish current one

I love the Jags logo. Usually thereā€™s a letter or a football or something related to what the logo stands for incorporated in it. Thatā€™s the only downside. As an arteeest, myself of course.

Nah that og jaguar logo is way better

kinda backfired considering carolina has had a much better history to this point. they were very much competitive in 2 super bowls, coming within an walk off field goal of the pats in 03-04, and if cam jumps on that fumble, who knows how super bowl 50 ends.
