I would say its like the jump from gingerbread to ice cream sandwich is one of them. The UI changes were crazy and honeycomb's UI really only lasted for a year before getting replaced with Ice Cream Sandwich. I miss those days. But if its actually big upgrades than yeah the update to lollipop is quite amazing due to the material ui.
