This morning my mom and I were talking about those people who aren’t highly sensitive, who barely notice so much, are not impacted by every little thing, and seem to skate through life without a care in the world... not us.
Sometimes it seems like it would be wonderful to be that person, but I’m not. And it’s a good thing. I know I have this gift of a life flowing from a very deep place I am designed (genetically) to be noticing, feeling, and thinking with depth all the time.
It is often quite inconvenient. My feelings get hurt. I need more time to respond to most things. I tend to overthink A LOT.
Yet, I see more, feel more, and think more (like you as well my HS friend.) It gives us a depth that serves us in good environments and helps us navigate the not so good ones. 💜
