they are not concerned with the children or citizens, but rather themselves. They are afraid of approaching an armed citizen simple as that. Don't wear the badge if you can't follow the law.

I hate when cops pull a power trip. I was a deputy for san diego co. Back in the 90's and I was found you got more respect if you kept yourself on an equal level with people rather than pull a god power trip.

How can you know open carry is only for times of relative lawlessness? If it was chaos in the streets I would conceal carry as to make myself less of a target.

If the cops don't like the law, they should lobby their political representatives for a change of law. What they should not do is to publicly insult members of the public who are acting within the law, as it's unprofessional.

Out of curiosity, if you saw some dude walking toward your kids highschool with an AR strapped to his back, for no apparent reason, would you not want the cops to stop and check that person out? I sure as hell would. Open carry, just to open carry, is going to end open carry!

I agree with your cause and I appreciate that you are willing to be an activist, don't get me wrong. Open carry was legal in Cali until everybody started having OC parties every weekend bringing it to the attention of the dumb asses in Sacramento who responded by saying, "Hey, there is a law that I can write. I'll make a name for my self by banning open carry." The nail that sticks up, gets hammered down.
