The Fender has an HSS (humbucker-single-single) pickup configuration, while the Squier features an SSS (single-single-single) setup.
Edit: not saying that all fenders are hss, just mentioned that bc he said they’re the same style.
Additionally, the necks on Squiers are awful compared to those on Fenders.
Fenders are typically built with higher-quality materials overall. In the Fender price range, you can expect better stability - tremolo, nut, and tuners (many Fenders even come with locking tuners). Fenders also use carefully selected woods, have some beautiful finishes, and are usually manufactured in the U.S., Mexico, or Japan while Squiers are generally produced in China or Indonesia.
