When I was six years old, my parents took me and my three sisters on a hike up Wheeler Peak before there were any roads on it. My dad found a lovely camping spot for us. Only problem was that there was a deer carcass there that a mountain lion had obviously I’ve been feeding on. My dad was sure the mountain was done with it, as it didn’t have much meat on it; so he buried it and set up camp. The lion came back that night to finish his dinner, and found all of us there. It screamed at us all night long. You’re lucky there’s just fur left.
