It's easy to assume that cheap = bad when it comes to low-cost CPU coolers, but the £20 / $20 Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE really surprised me.

I used this exact cooler on my Ryzen 7600 (non-X) for a year and it rocks. Temps under 70C and quiet as well it's a winner.

There's also a great alternative from Arctic, Arctic Freezer 36. Incredibly cheap and nice looking cooler, can cool the crap out of your cpu.

Cheapest tower cooler I almost never see mentioned (besides that one GamersNexus video) is the ID Cooling SE-214-XT. It costs just $18 in my locale and is easily the best cooler in that bracket.
It's a bit rough on the edges, literally (don't get cut!) but at that pricepoint, there's no comparison. Every Peerless Assassin I encounter is $25+ nowadays.

For low-end system, it would be better to go with down draft cooler. The reason is low-end motherboard almost always have no VRM heatsink. Down draft cooler helps to cool the VRM as well since the air is pushed towards the motherboard.

I've always trusted the Hyper 212 for a long time. Happy to see Thermalright coming in clutch during these days. Bought my brother a dual tower Thermalright cooler. Sucker keeps that CPU really cool and good for years to come for him.

I used to get over 90 degrees on my Ryzen 5 5600 with stock cooler while gaming. Bought a Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE and I rarely get over 60 degrees. Such a good cooler.

Best cooler I used for my Ryzen 5 5600 and tried a few is the Arctic Freezer 34 with MX4 thermal paste. Playing games goes 60c amazing.

I just got this cooler off of Amazon with the standard grey rgb fan for $17 I live in the US btw.

They didn’t send it with any protective packaging I just got it in the CPU cooler box itself and it was bent pretty good but I managed to straighten it out. Comes with a bunch of mounting brackets and cools a i5 4690 really well.

G'day Random, I have their White Peerless Assassin 120 Mini, it has 1 fan between 2 towers & perfomed really well in the Gamers Nexus review

I've got a fanless cooler, dead silent and you don't have to worry about dust building up.

Thermalright coolers are amazing, for the price there is nothing better especially if you get something like a peerless assasin

My advice is to never forget about case airflow.
The best cooler will suck if it has to recycle the same warm air over and over. Same with space management, so dont let that GPU fan smooch the floor too much.
