Mcr are increadibly amazing with the creative direction they took throughout from beginning to the end , the story of the demolition lover , the story behind the black parade and the dystopian future in danger days , they are all amazing and creative people and they deserve all the love and praise they get

using the word 'Overrated' is so easy and reductive, MCR's 2000's run was a masterclass in songwriting within their genre with strong thematic cohesion and vision. If they didn't explode into the mainstream they would have been called 'underrated' and yet people use words like overrated for them.

As a fan of My Chemical Romance for many years I have always enjoyed their, "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" album a lot more than "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" album. but I will say without "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" I might have never heard of them so you could say that.
