Same way as I grow mine and it works much better than sowing in open ground, started off indoors in heated propagator and as soon as first leaves appear moved to a polytunnel until ready for planting out.
For larger beets 2 seeds per module in root trainers indoors, reducing to one per module, then to polytunnels again.
Sowing in modules also helps prevents tiny seedlings getting smothered by weeds or getting a whole row eaten by slugs overnight.
Planting out plugs from modules also provides an opportunity to plant a bit deeper and reduce the amount of root projecting above ground.
Allthough I grow masses of stuff in single/multi sown modules, one of my most noticeable recent success stories has been multi sown Toyko Cross turnips.
