I met Robert Plant on the street, at night, in 2019, in Madeira. He had just come from dinner and had a couple. We spoke alone on the street for a good 15 minutes. He was great, super humble. Spoke about John Bonham with much love and reverence, said he was putting up a statue for him in their hometown. He asked me about the island, asked where he could go for a drink. I recommended a place and he said "Will they let me do my thing there?" I asked what he meant, and he said "You know, do my thing... You need coolin'! Baby I'm not foolin'!" And he sang the first couple bars of Whole Lotta Love for me on the street at midnight. I have pictures to prove it too.

Zeppelin were a mystery band because of their hatred of the press, for good reason. Early on, most of the press and critics detested them, so Zeppelin put up a barrier that very few could penetrate.

Hey my buddies and I went to Day on the green ,both days.Sunday Zeppelin didn't come out when scheduled.Someone came out and made the statement that Robert had been given the tragic news of the death of his child.And they where not sure if he was going to want to perform.Silence filled the Oakland outdoor stadium.They asked for all of us to hold tight.A stage tech.brought out two stools and two Mices.Followed by two guitar stands. About twenty minutes later out walk John Bonham and Jimmy Page.They looked shook .John lifted his hand and stated that they would like to play a song tribute to Roberts child.They played an acoustic version of Stairway to heaven. Not a dry eye in the house.Sometime later Zeppelin came out,and played and played long into the evening.The man gave his heart to the performance ,every time he looked up you could see his longing for his child.Blew the crowd over with his absolute performance and pelting voice.Never forget that one.Wow.

I met Robert Plant on a street in a tiny town called Los Olivos in California. The coolest thing that's ever happened to me. I fucking fan boy'd out, couldn't believe he was standing right before me. To his credit he spent about 5 minutes with me just shooting the shit. I asked if he'd take a photo with me, he agreed and was patient with me as I was a brand new first time father. My phone completely full of baby pics he didn't mind me going through them all to done one I thought I could delete to make room for a pic. The man couldn't have been cooler to me. They say never meet your heroes, well let me be the first to say that's bullshit. Robert Plant is a class act and spent far more time with me than he had to. I'm truly grateful for the interaction. The man was awesome. I can't say enough good about him.
