Shocking, eye opening fact I got told while working with adults who suffered with addiction. Despite being legal, alcohol withdrawals, are the only withdrawals that are severe enough to kill you. Not crack, coke, heroin, which are all illegal... Alcohol.

My other comment was deleted. It was Muslim who perfected the distillation process and alcohol was allowed or banned depending on what Kakif was in charge!
A glass of red wine can be beneficiary - lowering blood pressure and containing tanins natural antioxidants.
Alcohol can be used as antiseptic and in hand gels & sanitizers.
