Thanks for spreading the word! I guess the main reason why this technology isn't available to everyone is the cost. The only way it will be covered by National healthcare or budget health insurance plans is if the product is cheap. Fingers crossed they can make this happen!

Even if it’s just a short, I’m glad to see you’re dipping your toe back in, as it were. The confidence you show in managing your diabetes has helped me in my transition from type two to LADA (latent adult type 1). Thanks for being awesome :-)

CGM is a game changer but easy to be compulsive about checking all the time! Hard to set the alarms and let it do its thing. Thanks for your TD1 positivity has definitely helped me!

Just got diagnosed as a T1D last week and I just wanted to say that your videos have helped me a lot with accepting my new reality. Before last week I literally knew nothing about diabetes but after going through most of your videos I feel much better so I wanted to say thank you and I hope you keep the videos coming!

This is a giant leap forward. Those with t1d can nearly live normal lives with the Dexcom CG6. It is a life changing technology. It not only displays your blood glucose levels, but also shows going up or down and the speed at which these changes in bg are happening. I have been using this device for 5 years and it, in conjunction with an Insulin pump has given me that nearly normal life I have always wanted. Been t1d for over 50 years.

I love your fantastic inspiring personality. I love you, girl. I am a Mum of a diabetic teenager, his pain, his struggle, his hypo or his hyper is mine, as well. At any time, I would give my pancreas to him if it was possible. We , parents feel your ups and downs, too. Bless you, 😘❤

Hi Andrea! I'm a Type-2 for 20 years, (just subscribed now) and I wanted to offer some praise! In all my 20 years, I have never met someone who could be happy without being "relentlessly perky"! I'm sure you've run into the type of person who tells you, "Do abcdef and everything will be Unicorns and Rainbows! (perky smile)" You get grumpy. You go low. You go high. You talk about exercise like it's part of an overall plan, not a panacea. I've gone on the Dexcom CGM system and my last two weeks look like a map of the Alps - everything from 40 to 400 for hours. But you taught me something today that brought me down from an all day 400 high: drink water. Worked like a champ! I've sent the papers into the Nobel Committee and they should be talking with you soon!

Hi Andrea, l think you are a huge inspiration and just to look at you and being diabetic, l could not say you are diabetic because of your uplifting words and you look lovely and managing this extremely well but l guess 19 years is long time to learn how to live with this condition that’s definitely not a easy task at all and very difficult. I admire your efforts and dedication in helping others xx

I now have Control IQ and love it. In Australia, with the approach of the next federal election, there is bi-partisan agreement for all Type 1s to have a CGM system (Freestyle Libre) for $30 per month. At least it's a step in the right direction.
