I know these are supposed to be serious, but your satirical improv is so funny sometimes I can’t help but laugh. Thanks for these!

Don’t know who these programs are better for: the inmates or the horses.

More things like this need to happen.

I know a lot of rehabs and mental health facilities use equine therapy & it's a really great thing for both the residents and the horses

as someone who has had horses their whole life, if i ever somehow end up in jail this is the job id try my absolute hardest to get! i spend at least 4 hours total every day tending to our horses and as much as i act like i hate it i can’t imagine a day without seeing them. i don’t work with the horses as much as i used to as i’m doing a double degree at uni right now but i used to be paid to “break in” horses (teach them how to be ridden) and rehabilitate horses who had been subjected to neglect or abuse by previous owners/handlers. they were the two most fulfilling jobs i’ve ever had! i’m studying to become a prison psychiatrist, so this particular post really spoke to me. i wish that all inmates (with the exception of * those * people) had the opportunity to interact with animals. theyre so therapeutic and from a psychological perspective they’re extremely beneficial to immediate wellbeing. i’ve never seen this specific job in australian prisons but i really hope it exists because i know first hand how therapeutic animals, particularly horses, can be :)

I love horses 🐴 🐎 ❤ They are usually very sweet, humorous, majestic and patient too. I hear horses are amazing for those struggling with mental health or to learn how to connect with another living being. For example, people can learn gentle touch, emotional connection with a living being and how to be patient and gentle with others through learning how to gently brush and groom a horse…and yes it takes patience and coordination with the horse to groom them, like cleaning their hooves..putting mouthpiece in..etc. I think animal therapy is so beautiful and beneficial especially for those who feel like they’ve never been genuinely loved or they don’t know what healthy emotional connection i

aw, this seems like a very nice job to have in jail/prison, especially to the people who love animals and caring for living beings. like, it must be quite humanising to have this opportunity too, given the context of incarceration.

would be cool to see a video that lists ALL the official jobs people do, and also maybe the process of how they're assigned/chosen? since from what i saw in your other video you can't change what you do – so how about in the beginning? (sorry, i might have missed the video if you've already made it on this topic)

anyway, love your videos, girl! 🖤 always so lovely seeing you share your experiences with jail/prison (and makes me glad i only ever spent 14h in a cell and had my charges dropped eventually!) and also LOVE seeing you in your ever extending recovery!! so proud of how far you've come 🖤🖤 you're awesome, and your videos are super cool, and informative, and funny, and all around awesome. much love!!!

I gotta admit, the snippet of the article by Steven Kurutz got me giggling. Specifically the “meaning that it no longer wants to kick you in the face.”

They do this where I work too and it’s so nice to see how people are with the horses, especially when they’re jail mates. Everybody deserves fresh air.

I wouldn’t even need to be in jail not to mind taking care of those beautiful animals. Horses gave us transportation before we made reliable vehicles they deserve the upmost respect.
