There’s more to the story. Flekken’s team had scored to go 2-0 up, but the linesman wrongly flagged for offside. The stadium was also playing goal music, so Flekken assumed it was a goal and that the ball wasn’t in play

Duisburg had just had a goal ruled offside, and there was about 30 seconds between the offside call and the ball being in the other net.
Also, the image of Flekken standing at the back of the goal watching it go in is priceless
