I won two Furbies at my middle school carnival. I was excited to have two because the ads made a big deal about how Furbies can communicate with one another. It was all fun and games until I woke one night at 2 AM to hear them having a conversation in Furbish (or whatever) in my closet. No one had activated or moved them. They turned on by themselves. Despite being 12, I screamed in terror for my father. They were put out with the trash the next day. A part of me still believes they were plotting something nefarious.

Oh my gosh!!! Our furby used to fart and say excuse me. But no one taught it that!! We'd had it like 6 months and all the sudden it started doing it!! And then it started picking up on us all saying goodnight to each other and would say "bed time, good night" and go to sleep at the same time we did every night. It was so creepy but such fun!! 😂

dude Furby fucked me up as a kid. i had the purple and white one (naturally i named her Lavender) anyways there was a badass storm one night, and it went absolutely fucking bonkers and wouldn’t stop. traumatized the hell out of me.

i had one of these little fur balls that was DEFINITELY possessed. i vividly remember my mum and i trying to get it to turn off only to realise there wasn’t batteries???? it went into the bin. i did love him when it wasn’t horrifying though….

Aww! I love my Furbies. I still have three of the originals, and two of the babies, from when I was a kid. They still work great- but it's always a little jarring when they suddenly start talking after being sat on the shelf for months on end, untouched. I'm sure it's fine! 😅

had one save me from a horrifying car crash when i was 8, right before a 10 car pile up on the way to visit family in terrehaute, it was pouring sheets of rain to the point people could barely see, right before the pile up my furby which i had taken with me on the journey started going off lol- woah, danger, danger! and it would not stop till we slowed down, as we did so we slowly creep up to see all the cars piled up and wrecked. if we had not slowed, id have no doubt we wouldnt have survived the wreckage. and this was coming up from the same furby i took to school and was cussing out my principle of my elementary school XD those early furbys were wild
