I always threadlock those injector screws. Try moving a magnet around the pan through the drain and hopefully find that screw. If not the pan gets dropped. Or just leave it. Unless pick up screen is bad it's a small percentage of risk that screw will damage the engine. If it was mine the pans coming out

Well I’d honestly give the customer the option replace the injector and pray or pay to drop the pan and hope it made it into the pan.

Find it,,I had a 302 oil pump drive shaft clip fall off was a nightmare later

And they will give you any excuse not to warranty the product. I had an injector go bad paid a lot of money verifying the injector was bad, but because I didn't include the crush washer when I sent it back, they told me sorry after we replaced the cracked injector nozzle it worked just fine.

Well, I can tell you what I'm not going to do. Buy any Holders Diesel fuel injectors for my 6.0 next year when I do my rebuild. On the other hand, I might ask the question; why is it always cylinder #1?
