One of the ways I express my creative side is by performing in community theatre productions. I never acted before I had a role in Annie in 2009 (at the age of 44). But I've been hooked on theatre ever since. Opening night is Thursday, and thanks to a cast member who had to drop out, I have 3 roles in this production. Costume changes are challenging, Mrs. MacNeil has an Irish accent, and Dr. Kneff is a man. But I am LOVING the challenge of this play. I was also the costume mistress for the entire show. I've helped with costuming before, and as a director saw to it that my costume vision was implemented, but I've never taken on the whole responsibility before.

I think it's important that those on stage take on some of the invisible roles to get a real appreciation for all that it takes to put on a live stage production.

I hope you enjoy this short compilation of my 3 roles in Radium Girls. It is a compelling, timely story, and could have come straight from today's headlines as easily as it did in 1926.
