That’s right, it’s important to find the right medium inside our environment or place, I recently stared to moist lightly in the morning with a spray mister and it seems that they like it, many of my orchids are in Spaghnum moss and 80% of them have flowers right now cause they came with that and I tend to overwater my orchids so I know I’ve to repot them with bark and moss cause I soak them when I water them and so far I’m doing well with not rotting the roots☺️I’m trying to find the right balance.. right now is fall here and the humidity levels are down to 35% humidity so I know they need more humidity in their surroundings that why started misting them specially around the roots but like you said is a trial and error.. just keeping my finger crossed that survive the winter that’s coming with my care, good video as always very helpful!

Hi! I live in a really dry climate and my orchids were all originally bought and kept in bark. After a couple months I noticed that the bark would dry up quickly and not retain moisture. I recently re-potted them with orchid sphagnum moss! I'm hoping it works better and they thrive!

Have you ever tried exclusively lava rock? If so how did you find it? I've got one inexpensive phal I've moved over to it to see what happens 😅

I don’t know how I haven’t killed my orchid I got it from a friend who was done with it bc it was dying and or had bugs but I had its roots wrapped up in a moss “ball” but I had it in a tall aquarium I converted to a “terrarium” I just have a couple plants in it but it did good in there with getting rare watering but I decided to put in a water and I had a lot of root rot but it pushed out a lot more roots that look healthy and even pushed out a lil leaf. My orchid has really became an experiment.😅
