my system is really not technological at all, I use old yogurt cups without the label, they are white (I have two 1 liter cups) and inside I have a whiteboard marker so I write there my to do list or my shopping list (to order online) in the outside of the cups. I have tried to use the google or apple calendar but so far I forgot to update them… they get obsolete very fast and also I am an out of sight out of mind kind of person

These are exactly the kind of things I need help with, executive function wise! My working memory has got sooo bad since burnout. But I trust modern technology even less than my brain.. So a book sounds good? I've been trying to create something with post-it-notes, but it's a bit haphazard and everywhere.. I like the sound of this system. Look forward to hearing more.

I've tried noton, but it's hard to set up and keep track of. The using it consistently and keeping it updated is hard to make a routine or system for. Habits are really hard to manage for my ADHD. Does more technology help like getting a tablet separately for that sort of thing or just keeping up with a notebook or planner? I find typing stuff is hard to remember, but writing it down, I can recall the information better, but forcing myself to do it is really hard. Do you have videos about how to incorporate the jornaling or second brain into day to day life? I love your content. You have a good way of explaining things.

The NSA that's recording us in America everyday, could just do this all for us.
It would be a nice helpful way to give back, & put their surveillance to good use for each citizen.
"Hey, we know you're going to the grocery store tonight.
Don't forget the paper towels.
We'll remind you again, once you're there,
if you need us to.
Also you have an appointment in the morning, so here's an itinerary for everything you need to do, after you get home from the store tonight, and you'll still be able to get to sleep by 10:00pm, if you start right when you get home. Just push "0" on your phone if you need some encouragement, and one of our people will give you a pep talk, and/or one of us will talk you through a 5-minute deep breathing exercise, if you need it."
The NSA could totally use their surveillance powers for compassionate good,
if they wanted to.

@AutismfromtheInside ❤ 🧠 Second Brain sounds good. So much it can do, right?!
There is a detail that is an issue… though; the problem is we have to be organized enough and focused enough to put information in there, to get it set up to help us.
Wondering with the excess chemical
exposures I’ve had since being overseas as a very young adult, if I might also be dealing with a hit of brain damage or ADHD.
Hopefully not that challenge too. The other I was already assessed for as a late teen along with getting good news for having a highly gifted IQ which supposedly, along with being responsible, should have made challenges manageable, supposedly. Anyhow I know there is something going on that is challenging due to being “different” asa result of the assessment, besides my own observation telling me that.
Sorry to note that in fact the supposedly highly gifted IQ and being responsible, or trying to be as responsible as possible given the circumstances, doesn’t fix the burnout or fatigue or shutdowns.
Aware also that getting info into that second brain machine to get help from it, may be challenging, challenging just giving the machine the info to help.
I am sorry to say that doing that simple task would be a problem at present, despite being able to write mini-novella equivalents sometimes (which would be harder for most people).
Here life has been too ridiculous so even a person with zero on-the-spectrum concerns would have crashed by now.
So, not particularly functional at this point.
Is there a way to get that second brain to load itself? 😢
Does it read minds yet, not that i am especially keen to have that happen; it would though make it easier not to have to input data the second brain needs to help.😂

In my opinion, every person needs a personal secretary who keeps their schedule in order and keeps them on task and do the boring stuff (like forms and making appointments). Bonus if that personal secretary was also your personal driver and personal chef. When I told my Mom this (born in 1930)…she laughed and said “yes, everyone functions better with a wife or a Mother”😂😂
