Dogs in leashes are dangerous at dog parks. People need to know this and STOP keeping their dog on its leash. When they're off the leash, try just act like dogs. They'll sniff and roll and dominate and submit.. THEY ALL KNOW what to do and 9 out of 10 times they'll be just fine. However, when they're ON their leash, that's THEIR property and THEIR human. They feel the need to protect both and they will die trying. That's why these dogs are talking smack to eachother. They're protecting mom by telling that other dog to get lost or they'll be in trouble. Take off the leash? All the pressure is released and they can play.

If you have a hyper dog like a GSD you HAVE to have control over that dog. A gentle leader works well for me since he is so food motivated but gentle leader, prong collar, e collar, and/or training. Whatever works for you right it's you and your dog but just doing nothing and letting your reactive dog drag you is doing both you and that dog such a disservice
