Easy Family Dinner Idea: Part 1
Teriyaki Chicken Sushi Bowls.
This dinner was a hit even with my picky eaters, I called it sweet chicken instead of teriyaki because if you throw out a big word at little kids and they don't know what it is, it's going to be an automatic no on even trying it.
Recipe:
Cook sushi rice according to the package
Dice chicken (we used 2 lbs.)
Warm skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil
Put the diced chicken into skillet, season with salt & pepper & cook chicken until done, roughly 10-15 minutes
Pour chicken into bowl and top with teriyaki sauce until desired flavor
Toppings:
Shredded carrots
Broccoli Slaw
Cucumbers
Steamed edamame
Seaweed
Spicy mayo (sriracha + mayo)
You can truly add any toppings you’d like, this is just what we used.
