In a society and culture that’s driven my performance, people are constantly working to try to earn their identity.

Many believers focus on doing in order to be. They think that through actions and works, they will earn or prove their worth.

The truth is nothing you do impresses God. God stepped onto the earth and accomplished it all for you. He simply wants you to trust and step into what he has done for you.

Abiding in Christ is what causes you to be fruitful (John 15:4) Only faith pleases God and faith is not striving, trying, earning—it’s resting and knowing what God has already done.

Imagine what the world would look like if more believers allowed their being in Christ to shape their doing. The Kingdom of God would manifest on earth in a way that would change creation.

Reflect on this:
Are you focusing on doing to earn or prove your
worth?
How can you shift to a place of being in the
Spirit first, and then let your actions flow from that?
